You can grow a little or a lot, add food to your existing landscape, plant some food in containers, or just seek out local farmers markets and pick your own opportunities. This class will discuss way to enjoy the bounty of food that can be grown in the Austin area without hard work and long hours spent in the heat. Everyone can grow at least a little food and enjoy the wonderful tastes that result from fresh, local harvests. Judy is a long-time organic gardener and her Homegrown magazine has been a treasure for many years for organic gardeners all over Texas. Her newest book is “Easy Edibles: How To Grow & Enjoy Fresh Food.” In this book, she discusses many ways to enjoy fresh, healthy, local food without a lot of work. Be sure to stick around after the class, Judy will be available to sign your copy of her wonderful new book!
