Is your place kid-friendly?
Definitely! Kids are one of the main reasons we're here, doing what we do. We don’t want children to roam around by themselves, though. Please be sure your kids are with you at all times and please be aware of potential hazards like: vehicles and equipment; uneven terrain; pointy plants; sharp tools; snakes, bees, and other wildlife.
Can I bring my dog?
As long as your pup remains on a leash and gets along well with other animals & people, then yes, please bring them with you. We love animals! All we ask is if they make a mess, please clean it up as quickly as possible. There's a Mutt Mitt dispenser conveniently located on the grounds near the veggie garden.
Is your place wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Our place is wheelchair-friendly in most areas. The pathways are granite gravel and are firm but somewhat bumpy. The vegetable garden paths are pine needle mulch, not granite, and may be more difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair. If you ever need help, or have feedback about accessibility, please let us know.

The Natural Gardener is a beautiful, fun destination all year 'round. Please visit our Hours and Location page for current business hours and holiday closings.
Do you sell food or drinks?
We sell Richard's Rainwater, natural sodas, all-natural popsicles, brownies, chocolate bars, and nuts. All of our snacks, and most of our drinks, are made with wholesome ingredients and most are made right here in Austin.
Can I bring my garden club/classmates/group?
We’d love for your group to visit. Please see our Group Tours page for more info.
Do you offer classes?
YES! We offer free classes on a wide variety of topics related to organic gardening and sustainable living. We try to offer at least one class each weekend during summer and winter months. (No classes in spring and fall. Gratefully, we're too busy!) Please go to the Upcoming Events section of our home page for more information about our classes and other upcoming special events.
Return Policy – Plants and Perishable Products
The Natural Gardener sells only healthy, high quality plants and products, so our general policy is no returns on plants or perishable items. If you ever feel you have a problem once get your plants or perishables home, please call us within 24 hours. We'd like the opportunity to address your concerns as quickly as possible. We want every customer to be happy!
Return Policy – Hard Goods
All returns must be accompanied by a receipt from the original purchase. For full refund or credit, hard goods must be returned within thirty (30) days in like-new, sellable condition. Hard goods that have broken or malfunctioned under proper use may be returned within sixty (60) days for a full refund or store credit. For damaged product beyond 60 days old, we’ll be glad to provide manufacturer’s info as most makers provide their own warranties. Refunds will be given in the same monetary form in which items were purchased. Items purchased with a check and returned within ten (10) business days will receive store credit only. No refund or store credit on clearance items.
