FERTILIZING LADY BUG STYLE
TEST YOUR SOIL:
A soil test is your road map to successful gardening. Follow the suggestions
of your soil analysis. For recommended testing labs,
stay tuned to this Web site or ask your local nursery or Agricultural
Extension Agency.
HOW MUCH & WHEN TO FERTILIZE:
Apply 10 pounds per
1000 square feet. Always rake in fertilizer and thoroughly water. Feed
in early spring (for lawns, after the first mowing) to boost plants after
winter dormancy, in early summer for continued growth and to brace them
for summer heat, and in early fall to nourish them before
winter. For poor lawns and landscapes, we suggest starting with more frequent
feedings (up to 6 per year) using only 5 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.
We recommend spraying Lady
Bug Terra Tonic between feedings to encourage the
natural processes in your soil and maximize the effectiveness of the fertilizer.

MAINTENANCE:
After fertilizing for two years with 8-2-4 and Terra Tonic, the number
of yearly applications can be gradually reduced. Aerating, using compost,
leaving grass clippings and maintaining with Terra Tonic can dramatically
reduce or eliminate your lawn and garden’s dependency on fertilizers.
